Getting There
- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International is the main airport. From there, drive northeast to Athens.
The Stadium and Campus
Sanford Stadium (Dooley Field) is in the middle of the University of Georgia campus, walkable from downtown Athens.
Game Day Parking
- Private lots near the stadium are expensive on game days. Many fans park farther out and walk or ride the game day shuttle. Check georgiadogs.com for official parking.
Where to Stay
- Downtown Athens, which is walkable to the stadium.
- Five Points and the Prince Avenue and Normaltown area.
Food and Drink
- The Grill on College Avenue, open 24 hours.
- Clocked on College Avenue, which opens early on Saturdays.
- Creature Comforts Brewing, about a 10-minute walk from Sanford Stadium.
- The Grit on Prince Avenue, a vegetarian favorite since 1987.
- Five & Ten and South Kitchen + Bar in Five Points.
- Mama’s Boy and Big City Bread Cafe for breakfast.
On a Non-Game Day
- Shop the local stores along Clayton Street downtown.
- Catch a show at the Georgia Theatre.
