Mississippi State visits Austin for a Saturday night ESPN game. Here’s what fans of both teams need.

How to Watch and Stream

• TV: ESPN, 7:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. CT.
• On game day, you can stream it on the ESPN app by signing in with a TV provider or an ESPN subscription that includes the channel.

• Buy only from official sources: Texas Athletics at texaslonghorns.com, or Mississippi State’s visiting-team allotment through Mississippi State Athletics.

Getting There

• Nearest airport: Austin-Bergstrom International.
• Park-and-ride: Lot 26 at 701 W. 51st St. has a UT shuttle from three hours before kickoff until one hour after the game. It drops off at Dean Keaton Street and Robert Dedman Drive.

Parking

• Campus permit lots open at 7 a.m. Permits are mobile, and screenshots aren’t accepted.
• Public state garages run by the Texas Facilities Commission: Garages A, E and F are $40, Garage J (Capitol Visitor Garage) is $25, and Garage G and Lot 24 are $75.
• Lot 26 park-and-ride is $10 on game day, or $20 from 6 p.m. the day before through noon the day after.

Bag Policy

• Clear plastic bags no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches.
• One-gallon clear resealable bags.
• Clutches, purses or wallets smaller than 4.5 x 6.5 inches.

Where to Watch If You’re Not Going

• Any sports bar or home with ESPN.
• Bulldog fans in Starkville and Longhorn fans in Austin fill local spots for night games. Call ahead for big groups.

Where Fans Meet

• The open tailgating areas around campus on the official Texas tailgating map.

Tailgating Rules

• Tailgate setups are allowed starting at 7 a.m. on game day.
• Open tailgating is allowed in the yellow spaces on the official 2026 Texas tailgating map. Permit lots are for holders of that lot’s permit only.
• No tailgating in any UT garage. Red areas are reserved for REVELxp guests.
• Use the blue recycling bags and the charcoal containers provided.

Food Ideas

• Easy tailgate ideas: wings, sliders, pulled pork, a big pot of chili or queso, and finger desserts. Since it’s Halloween, themed treats are a fun extra.
• A 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff leaves time for a full afternoon tailgate.

Where to Stay

• Downtown Austin and the area around the UT campus are closest to the stadium.
• The Lot 26 park-and-ride is a good option if you stay farther north.
